About me

Hello. My name is Laura King (formerly Jennings) and I am a HCPC registered Specialist Physiotherapist. I have over 28 years experience working in a wide variety of NHS and Private settings across London, Leeds, Huddersfield and Halifax. I am very much a 'hands on' Physiotherapist and my expertise lies in spinal and joint mobilisations, soft tissue release and deep tissue massage, trigger point/ acupressure, lymphatic drainage massage (MLD), gait re-education and exercise prescription. I am also very experienced in treating sports injuries and have been the Physiotherapist for Brighouse open all ages Football Club.

My professional experience includes being Physiotherapy Professional Lead for Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust, Allied Health Professional Clinical Services Manager for the Huddersfield Hospital (Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal) and the U.K Society for Acute Medicine Physiotherapy Council Representative. In 2019 I decided to expand my skills and also trained in Aromatherapy Massage, Usui Reiki and Angel Reiki. My Reiki treatments are also very popular combined with Aromatherapy Massage and I also perform Angel Oracle card readings as part of the Angel Reiki treatment.

All my Physiotherapy and Holistic treatments can be combined in any format you wish, in order to provide you with the best outcome possible

Tree of Life Therapies was founded in January 2022. The Tree of Life is a timeless symbol of our connection to everything around us, and a powerful reminder that our own happiness and health are inextricably intertwined with the happiness and health of all living things.

I am extremely fortunate to have had 36 all 5 star reviews on Google from my lovely clients. My hands on Physiotherapy techniques have led clients to become pain free, sometimes for the first time in years. My Reiki treatments have produced some profound spiritual experiences/ spiritual awakenings as well as deep healing spiritually, mentally and physically. Some of my clients have been inspired to study Reiki themselves or follow their dreams into a complete change of career path.

In this stressful, busy world, Aromatherapy Massage is the ultimate treatment for self care. It provides you with rest, peace and rejuvenation as well as unwinding tight muscles, soothing pain and flushing out toxins. Being a Physiotherapist for 28 years also means I am extremely skilled in performing sports (deep tissue) massages and manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) massage.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy Assessment

£50

1 hour 10 minute Musculoskeletal assessment, diagnosis, advice and short treatment. This session also includes personal access to my Exercise App and a bespoke exercise program.

Physiotherapy Treatment

£40

55 minute Physiotherapy follow up treatment session. Only for clients who have already had an assessment. If you have more than one (non related) body area/ issue that needs treating, you will need to book the extended Physiotherapy treatment session.

Physiotherapy Treatment (EXTENDED)

£50

1 Hour 15 minutes. For clients who have already had an initial assessment and need treatment of more than one (non related) body area/ issue. Also for existing clients who want a new assessment of a different body area/ issue than their original Physiotherapy assessment.

All my massage oils are expertly sourced and organic. I also have oils to cater for any allergies you may have.

Back, Neck and Arm Massage

£40

A 55 minute luxurious, relaxing message that soothes sore muscles and works out any tension areas leaving you feeling wonderful and refreshed. Choose between a deep tissue massage or a more relaxing, peace inducing massage. All aromatherapy oils used are organic and I also offer oils/ creams for clients with allergies/ skin sensitivities.

Back, Neck and Shoulder Massage with Physiotherapy spinal mobilisations

65 minutes. Expert deep tissue massage techniques combined with specialist Physiotherapy spinal mobilisations to loosen stiff joints and relax constricted neck, thoracic (mid-back) and paraspinal lower back muscles. 65 minutes. Please note this treatment is not for anyone with osteoporosis/ spinal fractures or complications.

Full Body Massage

1 hour 20 minute complete full body massage that will leave you walking on air. You will feel like a new you! A relaxing, peace inducing massage using organic aromatherapy oils. Hypoallergenic oils also available.

Full body Deep Tissue (Sports) Massage

£60

1 hour 30 minutes. Whether you are preparing for a sporting event/ race or need to recover from one, a full body, deep tissue massage is the unltimate reward for your body. Feel any knots/ tension melt away and restore your body to its ultimate fitness level. 1 hour 25 minutes.

Head, Back and Neck Massage

£48

A very popular treatment that combines acupressure and massage of the spine and scalp. This promote deep relaxation, relief from upper body tension and is also very successful in treating TMJ problems, migraines and headaches. 1 hour 15 minutes.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage (MLD)

From £50

Relieves swelling of any limbs/ abdomen by coaxing lymph fluid from your tissues back to your functioning lymph nodes, disposing of any waste products in the process. This treatment is effective for any chronic swelling and also after cosmetic procedures to ensure the best possible outcome from your surgery. Prices start from £40 however a course of treatments can be booked for a 5% discount.

Usui Reiki

Usui Reiki is an ancient, japanese technique used for stress reduction and relaxation shown to have many benefits for both physical and mental health. It is a gentle, non-invasive technique that involves healing by placing the hands on or near the body. 1 hour treatment.

Angelic Reiki

Angelic Reiki is a tranquil and powerful healing modality that works at a soul level, with the highest energies, love and wisdom of the angels, treating the root cause of any condition, promoting peace, balance and very deep healing. Usui Reiki with Aromatherapy Back & Neck Massage
